CTM Summer Camp Instructors

Dirk Doebereiner

Dirk has been directing children's choirs for more than seven years with groups ranging in size from small ensembles to choirs with more than 100 singers. He sings professionally with IO Productions, The Dickens Carolers and the Mistletones and has performed at Kings Island Winterfest. He is also no stranger to the stage having appeared in the Miami University production of Pirates of Penzance and earlier musical productions of The Sound of Music, South Pacific and Guys & Dolls. Dirk also works behind the camera where he directs and produces two in-school TV news programs at Kings Mills and Columbia Elementary Schools. Dirk was the Music Director for CTM's productions of Twelve Dancing Princesses, Seussical, Peter Pan, and Aladdin, Jr. Dirk recently directed Cinderella, Willy Wonka Jr. and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat for CTM. This is Dirk’s second year teaching CTM summer camps. Providing an encouraging environment for children to work and achieve their best performances while still having fun is a driving force for Dirk.

Colin Thornton

Colin is a graduate of the Theatre Department at Western Kentucky University, where he studied under Tony Award winning director John Doyle, and where he founded Kentucky's longest-running improv team, HappyGAS. He spent five years in Chicago studying and performing at some of the world's best improv schools and theatres, including Improvolympic and The Annoyance. Since moving to Cincinnati, Colin has been directing and performing at Town Hall Theatre in Centerville, Ohio, where he is currently directing a double-feature of Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. Colin is also a senior instructor at ReelMovieKids.com, which provides professional on-camera acting and demo reels.

Aexis (Lexi) Kilgore

Lexi Kilgore is 17 years old and attends Mars Hill Academy in Mason. Her previous experience in theatre includes Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Music Man, Twelve Dancing Princesses, Fiddler on the Roof, Seussical, Aladdin, Cinderella, and Jane Eyre. She currently takes vocal and dance lessons. Lexi has been featured in a commercial for Cincinnati Bell with celebrity Nick Lachey. She has also been a featured model for an Aquage Hair show in Kentucky. Lexi has a passion for theatre and what it brings to every one of all ages.. This is Lexi's third summer as a Drama Dayz Student Instructor.
