The Children's Theatre of Mason proudly presents its camp program, Drama Dayz, each summer.
These one-week long camps are open to young people in grades K-8. Campers have a great time exploring the world of acting under the direction of professional CTM instructors.

CAMP DESCRIPTIONS
Audition Prep / Musical Theatre (Grades 4 - 8)
- Full day camp
- This camp will improve your skills and boost your confidence, while helping you gain an understanding of how to present yourself in an audition
- Students will obtain tools necessary to prepare for the expectations of an audition, practice and prepare for upcoming auditions, take audition pieces to the next level
- Learn to create characters, act and move on stage while singing properly.
- Students will experiment with drama exercises, staging, choreography, mock auditions, group singing and solo singing.
- Students will study, sing, choreograph and perform some selections from great Broadway musicals.
- The week will conclude with a performance for parents.
- Students are encouraged to have taken vocal classes as a pre-requisite.

Destination Drama (Grades 1 - 4 and Grades 4 - 8)
- Full day camp
- Students will learn the art of storytelling by crafting their own original productions using props, costumes, stage scenery, lights, and sound.
- This class will unlock their imagination, inspire them to write unique tales, and help them understand theatre, both on stage and behind the scenes.
- Students will be given assignments that will stimulate their creativity and focus their talents.
- The class will end with a performance for parents that will be written and produced by the students.

- Students will develop their imagination through theatre activities, games, skits and costume exploration.
