The Children's Theatre of Mason proudly presents its camp program, Drama Dayz, each summer. These one-week long camps are open to young people ages 5 to 17. Campers have a great time exploring the world of acting under the direction of professional CTM instructors.

Audition Prep Week (Ages 8 – 12)

• ½ day camp
• This camp will improve your skills and boost your confidence, while helping you gain an understanding of how to present yourself in an audition
• Students will obtain tools necessary to compile a resume, be better prepared for the expectations of an audition, practice and prepare for upcoming auditions, take audition pieces to the next level

Jr. Drama Dayz (Ages 5 – 6)

• ½ day camp
• Students will continue to develop their imagination through theatre activities, games, skits and costume exploration
• Instructors: Kelly Anneken, Cait Riley, Student Instructor

One Act Week (Ages 7 and older)

• Full and ½ day camp
• Each of these weeks will offer a different One Act Title – TBA
• Students will spend a portion of their day exploring all aspects of acting, from movement to character development and everything in between.
• A portion of the day will be spent rehearsing and developing their show which they will perform for parents the last day.
• This camp is wonderful for both the new student and for those who have theatre experience.

Rock Musical Week (Ages 11 and older)

• ½ day camp
• Students will learn stage choreography and will receive musical direction for songs from recent award winning Broadway musicals, including Hairspray and Dreamgirls
• The instructors will do small ensembles of various groups from the musicals
• The week will culminate in a performance for parents
• If you have a love for musical theater, this is a camp you don't want to miss!

Workshop Week (Ages 10 and older)

• ½ day camp
• Topics for the week will include Character Development, Scene Development, and Improvisation
• Students will receive instruction in development, writing and execution of an original piece of theatre
• Campers can let their imagination run wild with scripting, directing and performing their own show
• A great camp for students who are interested in theatre, but not necessarily in acting
• There will be many of different behind the scenes "roles" for campers
